Last Thursday I was contacted by a China-based virtual assistant (VA) firm, BPOvia, and was asked to give their service a trial run…the first 10 hours without charge. The CEO, James Huang, came across my VA firm review blog post and sent me an e-mail, offering a free trial of their VA service. I happened to have a basic data entry/bookkeeping task that was ready to get started, so I took James up on his offer. He quickly sent me a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which I signed and returned after the weekend, and Monday evening my new VA, Peter, who is also the BPOvia Marketing Manager according to his e-mail signature (?), contacted me to get started on the task. I’m expecting to hear an update from him again this evening.
If it’s a troublesome Get Friday-like experience, I’ll be happy to scratch one more VA firm off my list. On the other hand, if they’re as reliable as Brickwork, I’ll gladly continue to send them tasks. Either way I’ll be writing more about my experience with BPOvia in a more detailed review after this first task is complete.
